Shoolagiri Dam

My niece, nephew and his wife visited me one weekend in December (27-28 Dec). I made some wheat dosa, hummus, phirni, white sauce pasta and my trademark date sweet for them. My cousin's son joined us too. On Sunday, post lunch, I took them on a drive to Tamil Nadu. 

The original plan was to watch sunset at Krishnagiri dam, a favourite place of ours. However, since we got late while starting, we quickly changed plans and decided to visit Shoolagiri dam on the way. 

The shortcut shown by google maps was terrible. It took us on unpaved, bumpy roads. But it was a fun ride. We reached the place just as the sun set. We did get some great views. 

After spending some time there, we drove to my favourite restaurant in Shoolagiri called Shri Krishna Inn and enjoyed some local delicacies like Iddiyappam, Masala dosa and Kothu Parrota. 

We then came back to town, had dinner near Sarjapura and headed back home late in the night. It was a day well spent. I plan to visit Shoolagiri again and catch a proper sunset there.
