What made me happy?

What made me happy?

My students - Their thoughts, stories and updates. Listening and speaking to them when I visit school is the most enjoyable experience of my life as a teacher.

Watching my students showcase their talent at the annual day event.

Their genuine wishes on Teachers' day.

Book reading sessions with two of my friends. These sessions are filled with carpe diem moments - reading, learning, discussions and good food. I feel energised after these reading sessions. They have become one of the many ways in which I demonstrate joie de vivre.

Organising my balcony garden by introducing some metal stands to place my pots on.

Meeting people!

Going on outings with my peers at school. Exploring Muthanalur lake. Visiting our regular hangout place - an outdoor cafe in the outskirts of the city and taking a walk to a farm nearby.

Meeting my friends for dinner before sending their son off to higher studies.

A reunion with my cousins during a family wedding.

Going for a walk in Cubbon park with my good old friends.

To see my cat Pitte again. A ginger cat was seen near my house one afternoon. When I called him, he stopped, sat down and stared at me for a while. Pitte, our cat had left home several months ago. I cannot tell for sure if it is him, but it is comforting to make such an assumption.

Finishing all my blogs and videos on my backpacking trip to Indonesia. Recording them gives me a closure so that I can move on with other plans.

Planning a few treks in the Himalayas!
